At Incredible, we're committed to providing you with seamless access to all your credit card data, whilst maintaining the highest standards of security. An essential part of this process is the periodic renewal of your bank/card connection. Let's dive into why this happens and how you can ensure uninterrupted access to your Incredible features.

Why are you asking me to reconnect my bank account?

We use Open Banking to enable you to connect your cards to the app. When you first connect your bank or credit card, your connection stays live for 90 days. Once this expires, your bank requires you to re-authenticate.

What you need to know about 90 day consent

  1. 1. Initial Connection: When you first link your credit card to Incredible, you're granting us permission to access your account data. We use a provider called Truelayer to do this.

  2. Countdown Begins: This permission is valid for 90 calendar days from the date of connection.

  3. Expiration: After 90 days, the connection automatically expires as a security measure.

  4. Relink Required: To continue using Incredible's full suite of features, you'll need to reestablish the connection before the connection expires.

Extending Connection Made Easy: A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Incredible

    1. Tap on the card you need to extend your connection for

    2. Tap on manage
      ​

  2. Tap "Extend connection"
    ​

  3. Select all the cards you want to re-connect
    (you can do more than 1 at a time)

  4. Most cards will refresh automatically but some may require you to authenticate via your banking app again
    ​

  5. If redirected to your banking app

    1. Follow your bank's authentication process.

    2. Once successful, you'll return to the Incredible app.

  6. When you revisit the Manage screen, you should see that you have extended the connection to 90 days. Avoid using web browsers or bank websites for this step.

  • Ensure you're using a stable internet connection throughout the relinking process.

  • If you encounter any error messages, take a screenshot before retrying. This can be helpful if you need to contact support.
